Corns
What is a corn?
- Buildup of hard skin usually near bony area of toes or between toes.
- Look waxy, discolored, round
Causes of corns
- Likely caused by ill-fitting shoes, especially without enough room for toes
- Not wearing socks
Treatment
- Do not cut off! – Attempt to gently remove corn with pumice or emery board, pressing in one direction only
- Grapefruit Seed Extract. Put 1 drop full strength GSE on the corn 1-2 times daily.
- Transdermal Magnesium Chloride (footbath or rub in diluted enough not to sting) – softens skin
- Keep feet dry
- Wear socks
- Wear proper fitting shoes with ample toe room, soft uppers and low heels

- Likely caused by ill-fitting shoes or not wearing socks
Treatment
- Immediately after warm bath or shower attempt to gently remove buildup with pumice or emery board, pressing in one direction only
- Transdermal Magnesium Chloride (footbath or rub in diluted enough not to sting) – softens skin
- Keep feet dry
- Wear socks
- Wear proper fitting shoes that reduce pressure under forefeet, soft uppers and low, supportive heels
