How to nebulize glutathione (GSH)

A nebulizer facilitates a fast and effective absorption of medicine – by breaking down liquid medicine into fine particles, which are then inhaled into the lungs by the patient through a mouthpiece or face mask.
General information on nebulizing alternative medicines
Nebulized (or aerosolized) glutathione can be used to treat pulmonary and respiratory-related diseases. Glutathione, a powerful antioxidant produced in the body, prevents damage to the body’s cellular components caused by sources such as reactive oxygen species (ROS), other free radicals, peroxides, lipid peroxides and heavy metals.Â
Warnings about nebulizing glutathione
- Although those with asthma have a critical need for adequate glutathione levels, inhaling glutathione increases risk of bronchospasm (possibly involving inhalation of sulfites coming from glutathione solution) and so must be used with caution (preferably with medical supervision), to prevent undue stress to bronchial tissue.
Marades RM et al, Nebulized Glutathione Induces Bronchoconstriction in Patients with Mild Asthma, Am J. of Resp. and Crir, Care, Aug 1997,Vol 156 No.2, PubMed
- Â Do not use Ultra-Jet, heat based or high speed type nebulizers, which can destroy the glutathione
Treatment protocol for nebulizing glutathione (as recommended by Dr. Marc Sircus, with good feedback)
Treatment uses Theranaturals Reduced L-Glutathione Plus  capsules (which contain glutathione and sodium bicarbonate, as recommended by Dr Marc Sircus)
- Theranaturals Reduced L-Glutathione Plus capsules already contain sodium bicarbonate so you don’t need to add more
- This is a relatively new treatment and dosages for each patient should be found by sensitive application, starting with minimum dosages and building quickly, especially if the situation is urgent. The recipient should be sensitive to reactions (if any) during and after each application. Obviously, dosages should be adjusted downward for young children and infants.
2 or 3 treatments a day are suggested.
First treatment:Â Dissolve 1/2 a glutathione capsule in 10 milliliters of distilled water.
Second treatment:Â If you feel fine with the first application then increase the dosage to 1 capsule of glutathione in 10 milliliters of water.
Successive treatments:Â Â build up dosage to a maximum of 2 capsules in 10 milliliters of water.
