Apricot seed extract is made from the natural nitriloside compound amygdalin found in several fruit pits /seeds. E.g. Amygdalin is present in apricots, plum, and peach pits, apple seeds, quince and also in almonds. Amygdalin contains glucose, benzaldehyde, and cyanide.
Properly administered apricot seed extract therapy releases cyanide (its presumed active ingredient) in a controlled manner to kill cancer cells directly. Additionally, this therapy lowers cancer cells’ resistance to other treatments.
Provided we are not iodine deficient and have ample enzymes, our cells can breakdown the released cyanide to render it harmless, but cancer cells do not have this same protective ability and succumb to its cytotoxicity.
