Daily blender drink to restore and maintain health
Home-made drink made with fresh foods designed to heal, energize cells, build connective tissue, normalize thyroid function and boost immune system against assault. Ingredients specifically chosen to include nutrients the body cannot make and are typically missing from most daily diets and wreaking havoc with our health:
- Mag nesium – required for cellular energy production metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and amino acids, formation of bones and teeth, normalizing muscle and nerve function, improving INSULIN sensitivity, reduces blood pressure and much more. Magnesium levels are high in pumpkin and flax seeds, molasses, raw almonds, pine nuts and brazil nuts
- I odine – a “no-brainer” for thyroid function and to prevent reproductive organ cancers. Reverses fibrocystic breasts, shrinks ovarian and thyroid cysts, natural antimicrobial.
- C – This all-important vitamin cannot be stored so must be consumed anew each day for its antioxidant activity in watery areas of the body, for building collagen in all connective tissue in arteries, bones, joints, skin . . ., as well as its anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and immune system boosting abilities. The fruit used in the recipe are chosen for their high-C content.
- O mega-3 fatty acids – provides typically deficient, high-energy, healing omega-3 (as well as some omega-6) essential fats, lignans and fiber.These ingredients effectively fight against most of the major and minor health problems of our time including CVD, cancer, type 2 diabetes, arthritis, depression, anxiety, osteoporosis, M.S., and issues of the GI tract — the list goes on!
obtained from fresh, quality flaxseed oil and flaxseed (also provides lignans to normalize estrogen).

The Recipe
The recipe is for 2 people. Halve the amounts for 1 person.
You will need:
- A powerful blender E.g. a Vitamix or equivalent.
- Measuring items: A pyrex cup measure, 2 Tbsp, 1 Tbsp and 1 tsp. measures
- Ice and filtered water
- Flax oil. ORGANIC, FRESH, LOW-HEAT EXPELLER-PRESSED (kept refrigerated or frozen, in opaque bottle). NOT HIGH LIGNAN (don’t pay oil prices for lignans, cheaper from seeds). Use within 1 month of opening. Keeps up to 12 months if no air in bottle. Flora® (removes oxygen from top of bottle) and Spectrum® are good brands.
- Whey protein powder – COLD-PROCESSED (can be low-heat pasteurized) from RAW, ORGANIC (at least Non-GMO) GRASS-fed cows’ milk. Unsweetened, and NOT protein ISOLATES (missing nutrients) or acid-processed. Recommended without affiliation: “Raw Grass Fed Whey”, sold on Amazon. Current link (it’s not cheap)
- Flaxseeds (whole). Golden or brown
- High-C content fruit. Guava, orange, kiwi and strawberries are at the top of the list. These fruits are chosen for their superlatively high C content (but also use others to provide variety) – the skins provide antioxidant phytonutrients, but should be thoroughly washed.
- Organic spinach leaves (magnesium + other nutrients)
- Raw pumpkin seeds (magnesium and zinc)
- Lugol’s iodine. For thyroid health
Instructions
Fill pyrex cup with ice and fill up with filtered water.
Blend until no sign of oiliness (combining oil with a sulfur-protein is an important factor , which makes O3 fatty acids water-soluble and more bioavailable):
- 2 Tbsp. fresh flax oil
- 2+ Tbsp. RAW Whey protein powder (can substitute 2½+ Tbsp Cottage cheese, (ORGANIC, PLAIN, 1% fat), or 5+ Tbsp. Yogurt (ORGANIC, PLAIN , LOW-FAT) but the latter choice adds thickness and volume to the drink. If after blending you can still see oil, then add a tad more.
- Enough iced water from pyrex cup to cover blades
Add and thoroughly blend:
- Choose 3 fruit Thoroughly wash skin if leaving on, but “top and tail” stalks and bottom ends and cut fruit at least in half). Aim for high vitamin C-content.
- 1 guava (126 mg C) (leave skin on)
- 1 orange (70 mg C) (remove half the peel – although antioxidant-rich, too much can taste bitter)
- 1 kiwi (64mg C) (remove half the skin)
- Pineapple (40g C in 1/2 Cup) (remove skin)
- Mango (30g C in 1/2 Cup) (remove skin)
- 3-4 strawberries (25g C in 1/4 Cup)
- Other fruit
- 1/2 banana (peeled :))
- 2 drops Lugol’s iodine
- The rest of the ice and water
Optionally add:
- A handful of spinach leaves (1 Cup=25mg magnesium, 30mg calcium) – however, does make drink thicker
- 2 Tbsp. pumpkin seeds (100mg magnesium, 1g zinc) or instead just snack on them during the day or add to salad.
- 1 Tbsp. raw honey or add some more banana for sweetness.
Finally add and blend in (just enough to break up the flaxseeds, not pulverize them – which would make drink too thick):
- ¼ cup +1 Tbsp. whole flaxseeds (125g magnesium)
- Optionally add more ice (or just iced water for a thinner consistency
Serve in two tall glasses and enjoy☺

These supplements are part of the therapy and are not optional – all the components are interactively supportive.
- At least 2 hours away from having the Magico Smoothie – drink the preventative maintenance dose of the Rath-Pauling therapy (for building collagen) dissolved in an 8 oz glass of water – TWICE / day (separated – e.g. morning and evening):
- 1/3 tsp vitamin C pharmaceutical grade powder
- 7/8 Lysine powder
Note: it’s easy to forget taking these C and Lysine drinks so you will need to make yourself some kind of reminder!
- 1-500 mg Proline capsule – part of Rath-Pauling therapy for building collagen.
- 1-1000mg fish oil capsule (or eat oily fish at least 2 times / week. Wild salmon oil is a good choice (not chemically processed).
- 400 mg magnesium (as chelated magnesium supplement E.g. Swanson Ultra Albion Magnesium Glycinate, or prefer transdermal magnesium chloride – fast, effective, cheap and bypasses GI tract. (Highly functional mineral, also for omega-3 conversion enzymes)
- A small bar of chocolate – magnesium (E.g. 4.25 oz Milk Chocolate bar w/ almonds provides 102mg magnesium).
- Vitamin B-complex – prefer sublingual form (for omega-3 conversion enzymes)
- Zinc – 8 mg (W) or 11 mg (M). Prefer zinc citrate, chelate, acetate, mono-methionine or gluconate (for omega-3 conversion enzymes)
- Selenium – 200 mcg seleno-methionine or consume 4-6 brazil nuts
- Daily sunbath for vitamin D

Heads-up!
This is a deceptively powerful therapy that will go to work on you right from the start. Be prepared for some detox symptoms, called the Herxheimer Reaction. These can be experienced as feeling tired, a slight fever, headache, diarrhea, pain in joints, muscles bones, nausea, rashes and more. May last several days or even weeks, but stay with it and you’ll be a new person!
