FIRST, blend with electric “stick” blender or in small food processor: (Red figures are for those doing the full Budwig Protocol) (1) (2) (3) TABLEspoons COLD-PRESSED flax seed OIL (as fresh as possible) – only buy with known press date of oil. Oil normally has a shelf life of 6-12 months if kept in freezer, but it is preferable to buy within a couple months of press date. This author recommends Flora™ brand (uses nitrogen flushing to remove oxygen from top of glass bottle) With ONE of the Following 2 choices: EITHER: (¼+) (¾ – ) ( 1-) CUP LOW-FAT, RAW, organic milk yogurt (made using processing temperatures no higher than 110 °F)OR: ( ¼-) ( ¼+ ) ( ½ -) CUP ORGANIC, PLAIN, LOW-FAT Stoneyfield® Yogurt (has high probiotic count) + (1½) (3) ( 4½ ) TABLEspoons WHEY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE (E.g. Raw Grass Fed Whey) This is just the minimum amount needed to ensure a sufficiency of sulfurated protein required for the BUDWIG PROTOCOL. Having extra is OK but can get expensive. NOTE ON YOGURT: The problem with commercially available yogurt in the U.S. today is that it is made from pasteurized milk, which has been subjected to temperatures that kill any bacteria present, but that also denature the sulfurated amino acids important to the BUDWIG PROTOCOL therapy and also damage beneficial enzymes. To avoid these pitfalls, you would need to make the yogurt yourself from raw milk obtained from a trusted source; and then use a yogurt-making process having temperatures no higher than 110 °F, which is still considered to be raw ) Thus, this author has concluded that if you are unable to obtain raw milk products, then to ensure the effectiveness of the BUDWIG PROTOCOL (especially when being used to fight a serious illness), it would be beneficial to add concentrated whey protein (made with a low-heat process using raw milk from grass-fed animals (preferably organic), such as Raw Grass Fed Whey, instead of Stoneyfield® yogurt Next blend in:
HEALTH MAINTENANCE DOSE for BUDWIG PROTOCOL is 1 TABLEspoon flaxseed oil /day per hundred pounds of body weight. Yogurt amounts and other ingredients are increased or decreased proportionately: i.e a 150# person needs 1½ Tbsp. Flaxseed oil combined with ONE of the following: EITHER: ~ ½ CUP LOW-FAT, RAW, organic milk yogurt (made using processing temperatures no higher than 110 °F)OR: ¼- 3/8 CUP ORGANIC, LOW-FAT, PLAIN, Stoneyfield® Yogurt |
Poached or Boiled Egg w/toast
- Lightly poached or boiled organic egg from pastured hens (meaning they actually ran around outside on soil or grass)
- ½ a piece of unbuttered toast – butterfat interferes with Budwig Protocol
- Celtic or himalayan salt (trace minerals and taste, don’t be afraid to use this type of salt!)
